Day Eleven

Todd and I hung out in Lassen all day till late afternoon, then off to a RV resort in Quincy, CA.  The highlights: cheap price, laundry, hot showers and electricity so that we could plug in and use our air conditioner!  The next morning we were off to Big Sur.

Midlife Crisis ideas:  Live in a boat town on a river.

How many birds will it take to break the power line, lets see...

Traffic jam for miles after Sacramento...boring...I sat in the back and played ukulele.

The Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. The east bound lane is underneath us.

Golden Gate Bridge.

Hundreds of people walking the bridge.

Very narrow roads, I thought we would scrape this bus...it was about three inches away.

Block Party celebrating the takedown of Prop 8.

We were very tired from driving all day, and looking longingly at the quaint little motels along the 101.  Unfortunately, our van would have scraped the ceilings of the car garages.

San Francisco Symphony Building!

For Jordan and Eli...

Sunset over the Pacific!  Beautiful California cliffs!

Cows who get to graze by the beach...lucky!

We landed at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park that night at about 9:00pm, after 6.5 hours of driving that ended up being 10 hours.
