Day 30, 31

Saturday morning we were up at 7:30 eating breakfast with Dad at Smoky Row!  After a good chat we headed off to go to a chess tournament with Tim in Pioneer Park.  I actually got a check mate!  One out of six games.  Of course, I had 8 minutes ('cause of my 0 chess rating) on the clock and the other guy had 4 minutes to complete his moves.

Tim briefing me on what I should have done after I lost a game.

Tim playing against the strongest player.

Checkmate for me later this game.

Tim playing Justin. Tim wins.

Me playing Justin.  I lost.

Lastly, Dad took us out to dinner (or supper here in the midwest) at 'The Machine Shed.'  Grandpa and Grandma came along!

Lots of farm decor and the servers dressed up in overalls.

Random pictures of David's house.

On Sunday we decided to take our van into Tires Plus to have a new tire put on.  The day before a motorcyclist had pulled up to us on the freeway and told us that our back passengers tire was bulging. On the way to the tire place a tire blew up; and it was the front drivers side tire.

Todd's white T-shirt after he attempted to change a tire.  I was at Mom and Dad's house with the AAA card in my purse.  Finally, I realized Todd was trying to get a hold of me and walked to where he was stuck and we got AAA to come pick the van up.  All's better now!

Ron, Mary and I standing around waiting for Crow Tow.

Andy, Tim and Mary!

Afterwords Todd took care of the van and I went to Mom and Dad's to help Mary's kids pick up tools from Grandpa's garage.  I am super proud of my gorgeous niece and nephews!

Precious moments for me.

Noah is so much bigger!

Ben and Mary.

Tim and Noah.

 Dad and I.

Talking gardening...

It was so good to be with Mom and Mary!

Mary tickled Nathaniel to make him smile.  He just woke up from his nap.

I had to get a picture with my handsome nephews!  I feel so lucky to be their Aunt!

Later that evening we went to Jazz in July with Kevin and Geri Seiberling.  We got to hear a local young artist: Max Wellman sing.  It was very relaxing!

Geri made us a delicious picnic of chicken salad sandwiches, mango salad, veges and humus, and shortbread cookies.  So awesome!  Later we all sat around and talked at Starbucks.  Thank you so much Kevin and Geri!  It was so fun to be able to see you again!

Kim posed for the graphic on their trucks!!

The sky in Iowa is just amazing.

Sunday night we left for Washington.  We are going strait home driving in the cool parts of the day and night.
